* Requires 20% annual usage or “seat fee” which includes telephone support but not new versions of AUTOBOX.

**Interactive has a "what-if scenario" strategic modeling capability and monte carlo simulation that the batch version does not.

*** A 10% discount is already reflected in the price of the combo. The combo is meant to be installed on 1 PC.

**** Add 20% for version protection plan. This guarantees when Autobox 7.0 is launched you won't have to purchase a new version.

***** Add 50% to get the DOS batch and the Interactive batch. See explanation down below for more.

Demo works on 720 time series from text books and up to 10 observations of YOUR data so it really is an academic product where you can see the model development, etc.

All attributes are important, but we wanted to point out that the number of "Variables" is important to consider as that limits the number of input variables that can be used. If you choose "Pro" then you can provide 5 causals, but Autobox won't be able to include any interventions to the model(ie. pulse, seasonal pulse, level shift, trend) thereby creating a model that is not robust to outliers. So, you may want a larger version if that is the case.

1)The Interactive version (which looks like our trial software) does not have batch capability, but does have "what-if" scenario capability. You are running one series at a time. It can import one series at a time from Excel or read flat files.

2)The Batch version can also read flat files, but also allows you to import multiple series from an XLS file and additionally has the ability to add various causal variables(e.g. business days, holidays) to your entire list of SKU's in one easy step. If you have a lot of series to forecast then you would be better off with a batch product. When you run the batch product it submits all series for modeling and begins processing. There is also an alternate capability to read directly from an XLS file and deliver forecasts appended back into the XLS file(Note: It is only univariate at this time, but we are working on allowing causals in the next few months by April, 2009).

The batch version is interactive, but we do have another batch version that we should tell you about that is not interactive. The DOS based version is the fastest version other than the Callable DLL. You can use the interactive batch version as a tool to read an Excel file in and create the flat files for you that the DOS version reads in. You can also create those files using a script/macro. You get the interactive batch version along with this version, but the price is 50% higher than the interactive alone. Note that the interactive version does not import multiple causal problems so if you are a causal user then you would have to build the flat files yourself using a script/macro. For example, if you wanted an "Enterprise +" version as a DOS batch version, you would spend $36,000($24,000*1.50). If you were to also get the non-batch interactive the same 10% discount would apply for a "combo". So, if you wanted the non-batch interactive as well, the price would be $37,800(($36,000+6,000)-$4,200).

3)The Callable DLL can be integrated into your system/application which is the fastest way to get forecasts. Our partners use this method to fully integrate Autobox into their solution. The important header information like seasonality and length of forecasts along with the actual data are all passed to Autobox and then back to your applicaiton.

Q:What if you buy a basic version of your package and want to upgrade to a more expensive version, will you only pay for the difference in price or will you have to pay for the full amount of the new version?

A:AFS does not encourage customers to purchase inexpensive versions and move up. Our policy is that we will provide a full credit toward any trade up or trade-in for the first 30 days. For trade ins between 30 and 60 days we will provide a 50% credit. After that you would have to pay the full price. Thus if you bought the $800 version and decided within 30 to 60 days that you had made a mistake and wanted a $1,400 version, you would have to pay an additional $1,000 ( $1400 less the 50% trade in on the $800 version). It's best to fully understand your needs. We will be glad to help you and suggest the program that best meets your needs. Call us at 215-675-0652 and we will explain this to you in full.

Autobox runs on all versions of Windows and can be ported to various versions of Unix.
